We were driving back from Alassio to Milan. It was lunch time and we were close to Casei Gerola Highway exit, and decided to stop at the Antico Borgo in Casei Gerola. The small village is nice, the trattoria looked nice outside, actually it was better outside than inside. The interior is very simple, at the entrance there is a wood oven for the pizza and the adjacent room is for the guests. A simple rooms too basic and all but nice. Anyway we were welcomed with some focaccia just baked in the wood oven, than we ordered a mix of cold meat and cheese, it was quite good, we ordered then pappardelle with wild pig (cinghiale) and sausages. Both good also if I was expecting more generous servings. Price a bit high for the simple location.
