It seems that Marumen must have made some improvements because it was absolutely delicious. Alongside the ramen, we ordered a few small plates that were also excellent. The small plates arrived about 5 minutes after our ramen, which wasn’t a big deal at all, and as an apology for the wait, the waiter brought us a complimentary plate of mochi. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I will definitely be coming back!

Despite it being peak lunch time on a Friday, the place was not crowded at all and after eating here I can only assume that this is because not enough people know about this place. I had the vegetarian curry ramen and my friend had the vegetarian ramen. They were both delicious. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh and the food was amazing. Although we didn't order sushi on this visit, I did see a sushi chef preparing sushi for another table so it appears that the sushi is prepared to order. There is a varied menu with many vegetarian options. There was no wait to be seated and the food came quickly after ordering. The wait staff was attentive and kept appearing to fill our water glasses. Overall a very good experience and I plan on returning with my kids who love ramen and fried rice.

Shoyu and spicy miso came out pretty quick. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and there were more waitresses than there were customers so we didn't experience the long wait time and bad service others mentioned. I prefer chicken broth style ramen which is not too rich. This place has pork based broth which can feel very rich towards the end of your bowl. I will still come back for my ramen fix but not as often as I would like.

Quality... read more My husband loves Marumen absolutely in Fairfax. So he was very excited to see another opening near us. We were here a few times and our visits were due. Quality of food and service were great. The menus are quite similar in both places. You also have good opportunities for vegetarians.

Ho... read more I had a lovely experience at this restaurant in Sterling, VA, where I enjoyed some delicious dishes. The service was excellent, and the food was truly tasty. However, finding parking can be a bit challenging since the restaurant is situated within a plaza that includes other eateries and shops. It's a great spot for drinks, food, and socializing. The only downside during my visit was that the doors were open, which allowed a few bugs to come inside. It wasn't a huge issue, though. I will definitely be back!
