The Sherpa's Mother's Restaurant provides exceptional service and delicious food that will make you feel as strong as 1000 Buddhas after just one bite of their vegan chow. Make sure to try their momos, as each bite will make you feel as powerful as 20,000 yetis. I highly recommend experiencing the wisdom and flavors of this restaurant. View all feedback.
What Valeks Skujiņš doesn't like about Himalayan Range:
I was excited to try a new place I am sad to say I was disappointed tonight. I would advise anyone that loves Chicken 65 to steer away from this one. It was a horrible breaded mess. Barely any chicken and the sauce/coating was nothing ?65? about it. Had no flavor and I tried giving it a chance; to where I feel sick to my stomach. The slight saving grace was my order of Nepali Dal Fry. It is lacking umami/balance but... View all feedback.
I drive all the way from Durham to eat at this restaurant, which is a favorite of mine. They offer many vegan options, just make sure to specify if you want vegan versions of vegetarian dishes. One dish we love is the chana saag without cream, and sometimes there's saag available that's not listed on the menu. The staff is very accommodating. I recommend trying the Chow-Chow and momos.

I absolutely adore dining at this restaurant. The food tastes authentic and the portion sizes are generous, all at very reasonable prices. Most of the vegetarian entrees are priced at under $10, making it a great value for delicious meals.
Went with a large group of vegans (everyone was a first timer, except a pair). Almost everyone ordered something different so we were able to try a variety of dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, came hot, and huge portions for such a reasonable price. Another review was that the menu was not well marked, but every dish tells you exactly what is in it, so we found that helpful. The couple we were with had previously instructed us that you could make almost every dish vegan only by asking. None of us used this, but it was great to know the next time. Can't over how tasteful everything was!!
In a city with so many Indian restaurants, the little things can really make a difference. For me, if vegan options are selected on the menu. They're not here. The staff seems to be knowledgeable about their menu and what items are vegan, but I prefer to find this information on the menu so that I can be ready to order when the server arrives. I ordered some of my favorite Indian dishes and they were fine. Some of the spices were not on my personal preferences, but not so much that it kept me from enjoying my meal. The shares were more than fair for pricing. I asked my partner how he would be (non-vegetarian) eating and he gave him a glowing 4 stars. I asked him how he would rate mine and he said 3 stars. So this can be something to consider when you go with a group of people who are not all ordered vegan.
