Roast - Carthage

I was aware of Roast's dedication to locally sourced ingredients and creative cuisine, but I was still truly impressed by the unique and delicious dishes they offered. The establishment was impeccably clean and had a cheerful atmosphere. The staff members were friendly and provided excellent assistance. I came specifically for the Peruvian pork-belly tacos, and I also tried the maple apple slaw and sweet potato tots. To top it all off, I indulged in a heavenly salted caramel brownie. Everything was simply fantastic! Even the bottled water was sourced locally. Roast also offers a selection of wine and beer, and there's a well-lit patio with entertainment as well. Although I live two hours away, I will definitely return! It's no surprise they were awarded Best New Restaurant in 2021.

I visited this restaurant the other evening after taking a stroll around the reservoir, and I was quite impressed. As someone who mainly follows a plant-based diet, I was thrilled to find several vegan and salad options available on the menu! The salad I ordered was vibrant, fresh, and satisfying without being heavy. I'm definitely planning to return to explore more items on the menu.

I had a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable, the portions were very generous, and the food was delicious! I tried the prescription Ramen, and it was incredible! I'm really glad that Roast is nearly in my neighborhood, but I would gladly make the trip even if it weren't. The drive-through will be perfect for autumn activities when I can grab quality food for my family while on the go. Great job!

I was so ready to love this place because it has vegan options.. however, the pulled pork sandwich was so bland. The slaw had no zing or pop of freshness to it. Maybe a different BBQ sauce would have made it more flavorful. Regardless, the sandwich was okay. Not bad but not good. This restaurant was so highly recommended and I want to love it but I can't after my experience today. Maybe it was an off day but for $10.99 plus tax for just an okay sandwich... I don't think I'll be back.

Hands down the best no Crab, CRAB Cake... The reason why 1 star is deducted, is because for the price there is no side included with the sandwich.! Consider adding homemade chips, or sliced celery, something!!!! The JackFruit Pulled Pork is not my favorite, it was salty and had an odd Jackfruit shell embedded in the sandwich, unpleasant surprise in my mouth..
