We rented a cabin here. The area is amazing and there is no end of outdoor things to do. The cabins are nothing special. A couple of beds, a bath, small kitchen and a deck. The restaurant has some pretty good food and was a nice surprise. They also have a large marina. View all feedback.
What Clayton Farris doesn't like about Defeated Creek Marina:
The Marina:. Boats needed cleaned and the upholstery and seats tore up. When their website is down long term, there 's usually a reason. We rented a pontoon in July, and when we saw the condition, tried to go to the other marina, and we 're told "no refunds "Marina is run down. One of our guest got locked in the men 's room. Owner had to get tools to get him out.Gas pumps were shut down. Part of this may be from poli... View all feedback.
Lionshead wheel warranty Be careful of lionshead product warranty they are to cheap to replace 2 chrome lug nuts on my rv. Pretty sad...!
Couldn't find the place. I followed the driving directions in the Yelp app and ended up in an empty lot at the park. Oh well, maybe next year.
This place has a wonderful breakfast !!! The pancakes are to die for. We have been twice. Once for breakfast. Once for dinner. Bacon was crispy. Fresh catfish and hush puppies. Wonderful to walk to the bottom of the hill feed the huge fish they enjoy the bread!! Definitely look forward to the next time.
Our church Dads get together at the Campground and Cabins once a year for a Father Daughter weekend. I enjoy staying at the cabins which are next to the campground. The marina and cabins are managed and owned by different group then the campground. The Thorntons have owned and managed the marina and cabins for several years now and they are as nice and thoughtful as they come. When we have stayed they have gone the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Great people to work with. This year, I made a reservation and Tom helped me pick the right cabin for my daughter and I. They also gave us a military discount!!! Then after making the reservation, I discovered that we could only stay a day and had to cancel. There is a $25 cancellation fee by the credit card fee. Not only did Tom go ahead and cancel the reservation without a hassle, he offered to call the credit card company and see if he could get the fee waived. When the credit card company said no.....he went above and beyond to split the fee with us. He felt bad about the fee and paid $15 of it himself, and only charged us $10. Can you believe that? That kind of heart and desire to bless people is rare and a beautiful thing. I ask for anyone looking to enjoy a beautiful campground to seriously think about bringing your business to Tom and his family.
I think its a beautiful park.. Always been clean and nobody bothers us.
