We met a very friendly student in the tram on our way to Sidi Bou’ who showed us this restaurant. It was just what we had looked for! Beautiful view from the balcony and fantastic fish. We asked for less french fries and instead a bit couscous and hadn’t to paid more. Also the harrisa tastes yummy fruity. Have a try! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Le Chergui:
It's okay, unpretentious. Cash only. They don't even say until it's time to pay. Ordered couscous fish, it came with rice. Just don't expect anything too much and you're fine. View all feedback.
Couscous was bland and dry, but the views were nice. Cash only.
Not the best, to be honest reviewed these reviews before going but maybe the quality slipped. Anyway, food was a bit mediocre and couscous very dry and tasteless. The fish was good though.
Disappointing, bland food, I wouldn’t come back despite peasant location and interiors. I have ordered tomato salad which was exceptionally lacking in taste and colour and chicken couscous which consisted of small portion of chicken leg, with minimal amount of meat and two pieces of potato accompanied by dry couscous. It was as well first restaurant in Tunisia which hasn’t offered us completely portion of harissa as amuse bouche.
Friendly staff, delicious food! the prices are “normal” Level for this tourist area (not overpriced, not very cheap)
Best traditional cuisine in Tunis. Very clean and wonderful atmosphere.
