We wanted to try this place already, but have never been in carterton. Today we had to earn a trade so that here stopped to have dinner before I go over the hill again. the decoration and the background music were just right. that fired. the personal was very friendly and the service prompt. we shared a fairly large garlic bread to begin; I then had the marinated fish that was great. the net parts were the rib eye and the black cord (all as shown). the food was well prepared and I did not complain (it was not microwave). the nabeby said the pfeffersoße was very strong. it was. but it was no matter how the steak was cooked...read more

Came as a group and coworkers were very welcoming. meal times ordered and came in good timing. scallops as entree came served on rice and a family member said they were only average. had chicken supreme as the main and tasted very nice. children's dishes very good, but had to approach the bar and remember the staff of the ice cream of the children. it was disappointed that the staff did not come and asked if our group wanted dessert after our main meal. free drink was offered for the birthday child and the sucking, the children afterwards. a pleasant evening only a few disappointing things.

Sat in the room next to the outdoor garden... I booked the table with family members for my birthday dinner... I have to say the food was stunning, service was awesome... very friendly people.. The owner JK is a very lovely man and took a shining to my kids and took the time to keep them entertained and happy who are under 3 as well as an 8 year old running around in the garden... He came over when we first sat down and said hello etc... the guy who took our orders was very lovely also! Fully recommend The Buckhorn made us feel very welcomed! Will definitely return!

Sat in the room next to the outdoor garden. If weather was better would've preferred to sit out there. Service was ok, the owner was very friendly and two guests were below the age of 3 and were being entertained well. I didn't have high hopes when ordering my meal but was very pleasantly surprised to have had the best Surf and Turf I've ever eaten! Just amazing. Will most certainly return.
