I can’t really understand the negative comments , which I read. Yes it is a diner, nothing plush or fancy, but nicely decorated according to to the American theme. Typical American dishes on the menu, which I expected to find. We had potato skins and the house burger. The potato’s were tasty and the burger was good. What Mellie1065 doesn't like about Uncle Sam's American:
We 've been visiting Uncle Sam 's on La Manga Club for many years however our most recent visit was so disappointing. The food tasted nothing like we 've had previously. Having ordered burgers, after a long day of travelling, we certainly won 't be ordering them again. The burger itself was salty, the bun hard and the condiments in sachets in a pot on the table. Typical American dishes on the menu, which I expected to find. We had potato skins and the house burger. The potato’s were tasty and the burger was good. Actually much better than the one in the so called five star hotel in which we are staying in the resort. The service was very good, also much better than a part of the service in the hotel. I felt much more taken care of. So I can fully recommend the restaurant for burgers and more. Just don’t expect table clothes and fancy dishes.
Such a small menu!!, I think there was an options were a burger or a burger with cheese. I got nachos to start with. This consisted of a bit of mince, a dollop of avocado and a half bag of Doritos. But for some reason the plate came out like it was on fire. I think the lot was put in the microwave to melt the bit of cheese. It was very plain. We went for burgers for mains and the kids got chicken nuggets. Everything came out so quickly. We left most of it behind. We did see the reviews on TripAdvisor before we traveled but decided to give it a go ourselves. I felt it was quite expensive for what it was. We were in and out in less than 40 mins. The restaurant was so hot even with all the doors open. The staff were okay, A few missed orders, not sure why there were only 3 tables reserved in the place. The girl was very friendly to the children and gave them a lolly when leaving so they were delighted. I don't think we'd return here.

Having ordered burgers, after a long day of travelling, we certainly won 't be ordering them again. The burger itself was salty, the bun hard and the condiments in sachets in a pot on the table. It appears the menu has also been minimised and the 'hot dogs ' are no longer! On the positive side, the service was very good. As the restaurant is part of La Manga Club, it really needs a revamp on the food side.
It 's a great place and we had a good meal but I would expect more variety on the menu it was very basic and wasn 't what i would expect of an 'American ' restaurant. The place is really well decorate though and feels very American but needs more options food wise.
Our third trip to La Manga Club and first night straight to Uncle Sams as previously it had been a favourite. But, the standards seem to have slipped and the menu is very very limited. Such a shame.
