Vino's Pizza - Carson City

I had a cheese pizza with kalamata olives. It was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the bottom and very tasty on the top. I had the house salad as an appetizer, and I wasn't that impressed. It looked great, but the dressing wasn't mixed in, and the dressing really did not have a good taste. Service was a bit slow. Apparently at this restaurant one can order their food before they arrive, and their pizza comes to their table minutes after they take a seat. I waited for approximately 20 minutes. I didn't order a head. All in all this was a very good dining experience. The dining room is very well appointed.

So, my Wife ordered a pizza over the phone, and they told her it would be ready at a certain time. She gets to the Restaurant, and still has to wait another 30 minutes before she got her order. That was really off-putting. The Establishment itself is nice and decent,, but the Service was slow, and the pizza had a good flavor but the crust was a bit too hard over-cooked. And the price for the pizza was really too high. You can buy two pizzas at other places for what you pay for one here, so keep that in mind. If the prices were lower, we'd probably give the place another shot, but as it is, there's other places with cheaper alternatives.

We called in on a Saturday night and tried to order a pizza and salad. After sitting on the phone for 5 minutes with an open reciever on ignor, we hung up and decided to order online. They notified us that everything would be ready in 30 minutes, so I left the house and was there 30 minutes after ordering. I have now been sitting waiting for our order for 30 minutes. Needless to say, I am not very happy with Vino's at the moment. Finally, got our order one hour and ten minutes after ordering it. We ordered a thin crust margarita pizza and turkey salad. The pizza is not even close to thin crust. I'm thinking it's about 3/8 of an in think, so if you're craving a true thin crust pizza, look elsware. The crust is also not hand tossed but runs through a machine. With that said, the flavor of the pizza was pretty good, and other than dry turkey, the salad was as well.

My manager picked up pizza (sausage and olives and Pepperoni and cauliflower) for a pizza party at work and it was fairly enjoyable and I liked the crust. But we all thought it was too salty. And the price she said was hefty for what we got. She would not buy again here for that hefty price. If you charge that amount its got to be better. Also bought here on my own a sausage and olive and it was almost too much seasonings like oregano or something. Too much money for what you are getting. Guys running are super nice and it's a cute restaurant. Nice ambience.

Ate this pizza about 5 weeks ago. Got to try combination pizza and could not stand the marinara sauce or the crust. Got a piece of the chicken as it was a different sauce, the crust was awful! Then tried a slice of the sausage and pepperoni again, the crust was the most awful thing I have ever eaten. So glad I finally found out where this pizza came from. This may be a healthier alternative but they should offer normal pizza for those who just want a normal regular pizza. Next time I see that pizza again, it's going straight to the the trash! YUCK!
