Main Street Pizza - Carson City

Ordered 2 pizzas tonight and very disappointed at the direction the quality has gone in Carson. Pizza was burnt, not cut all the way through and cut not even close to proportionate. At this rate it?s just as close for me to go to Muir to buy pizza. Usedto be favorite pizzeria of anywhere local. Usually 5 star but stars are falling.

We arrived at the pizza restaurant around 9 pm and placed our order. Since they were cleaning the restaurant, we opted for takeout, which was fine. I ordered my food and waited for about 20 minutes. When I entered, I saw a male employee on the phone, presumably taking orders. After he finished his call, he asked for the name on my order, then looked at the shelf and started cleaning the food preparation area. It was a bit strange, as my food was ready and he could have handed it to me, but instead he moved on to cleaning without saying anything else. Eventually, a woman finished taking out a pizza and then prepared my order for me. It seemed like she was doing most of the work at the restaurant. The subs we ordered were just okay, nothing particularly special about them. The roast beef was not great quality, more like cheap lunch meat with no real flavor. The boneless wings were passable, but still cold in the middle. Overall, it was nice to have a different option besides fast food chains like McDonald's. The service was average and the food was mediocre. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place again.

The pizza was ready when I arrived and tasted good, with a nice crust. It could have used a little more sauce but had ample toppings, including fresh mushrooms and generous amounts of pineapple. However, the toppings were clumped in the middle and could have been more evenly distributed.

This is our favorite pizza spot in the area. Sometimes the pizza or breadsticks may be a little burnt, but other times they come out perfect.

Our friend Layla Tracy introduced us to The Cheesebread bakery in March, and now we are hooked. The bread is excellent and I'm tempted to go back to the city just to stock up on their delicious offerings.
