Just the best in town if you want good food this is the place To go. As soon as you walk through the door, you're hit with the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. The service is out of this world. With food, this good you know there cooking from the heart. If you're another restaurant reading this, this is how it's done. Go there and take notes. What Ryan Kalez doesn't like about Garibaldi's Italian Kitchen:
I was seated and given water, the waiter said he would be right back to explain specials and take an order. After 16 minutes of no waiter (he was chit chatting with various other tables), I finally left. It wasn’t that busy. He didn’t seem to notice the abandoned table or my departure. I won’t be going back based on the service alone. View all feedback.
The place was quaint and casual no need to dress up. The food was pretty good but we had a few issues with our order. We ordered the calamari appetizer which the waitress repeated our order and then kept pushing to order our entrée which we wanted to wait until after the appetizer. She brought it out which wound up being the artichoke fritas and then made the excuse it was for another table but then we still had to wait 10 minutes for our calamari so she must have ordered wrong. For dinner I ordered the polla di vincci and it was supposed to on a bed of crispy polenta. When I received my dinner it was just the chicken with sauce and a small side of vegetables with a few pesto pasta pieces. I was not able to find the waitress nor did she come back to ask how our dinner is so I had to flag down the hostess who said I will find your waitress. When she finally came over and I asked about it she said oh I was waiting for it let me go check which she promptly returned to state that oh they are out of the polenta . She didn 't offer to ask if I wanted a side of pasta instead or did she say something upfront when I ordered the chicken that they were out of it nor did the kitchen tell her they were out of it again I would have then liked it served over pasta for the sauce not a big chunk of chicken and some sauce. I would have been nice if the kitchen communicated to the waitress so I could have either decided I still wanted the dish or chose a second option. Needless to say she only discounted my meal $4 for not having polenta. I am not looking for a free meal it would have been nice if they said something after I ordered it or prior to been served. This is why I am only giving it 3 stars overall. The food flavor was good just the experience not so much.
Took a bit for our server to arrive at our table after being seated. Once she arrived she never introduced herself, but ok. We ordered drinks and appetizers, she kept pushing to order our entrees, we finally had to let her know that we’ll order after we finish our appetizers. This is where things started to go wrong …. Appetizers, we ordered the calamari , she brought us artichoke fritters, after we reminded her that we ordered the calamari , she quickly corrected herself and said these belong to another table. We waited another 10 minutes for the correct appetizer which clearly she mis ordered. Ok mistakes happen. …. By this time our entrees arrived and my wife noticed that her chicken dish was missing from her polenta . We waited and waited for our server to come around but never did, the hostess assumed that we were ready to togo boxes we mentioned that the dish was not correct , she looked confused and went to get our server. We asked about the polenta , she clearly replied that our dishes took longer because she was waiting for the polenta on my wife’s dish ….. not only did she serve the dish without the polenta that she was waiting for , she was confused why it wasn’t on the plate. She had to go back to the kitchen to figure out what happened to the polenta. Come’s to find out they were out of the polenta. So why was she waiting specifically for the polenta if they were already out of it ? Why didn’t she offer a substitute? Just mentioned they were out of it and left. She never came around to ensure everything was to our liking, took more than usual time to get the check, she did mention she removed $4 from the bill to cover the missing polenta , it was not noted on the receipt , we never saw our server again ! The hostess ended up processing our payment. Sorry to say but the lies from our server undermine the food. I would love to give a better review because the food was great !
Such amazing food and polite waitresses. Recommend 10 out of 10!
Just not good italian food. My group paid around $30 each per plate of pasta. Overcooked pasta. The proteins were all overcooked or missing a key element. For example the giant meat ball was not browned. Sausage not grilled. The chicken breast seemed like it was precooked (overcooked) then reheated. But not heated enough. The sauces lacked originality and flavor. I feel the menu is overpriced by 3x. I've worked in fine dining at an Italian restaurant with a similar price and those plates would hv never the kitchen. 2 stars because the service was decent and mixed drinks and salads were good. But I will not return. Carson City has better options. I would recommend Ti Amo in Casino Fandango over this restaurant for price (much lower), service, ambiance and definitely food.
Horrible lack of poise and customer service. Not kind humans. Unfortunate because we made a reservation. When we arrived we were treated with complete disrespect. Servers were heard talking inappropriately about tables while the tables could hear. Complete lack of respect for their guests. When I asked to leave before my appetizer arrived to table the server rolled her eyes and snarled at me. She also did not take my second appetizer off bill, even though we never received it.
