What a hidden gem located upstairs in the old theater. There are individual nooks or tables in the open. Huuuuge buffet with spinach, corn on the cob, sprouts, carrots, broccoli, all types of noodles from glass, ramen, udon, etc, tofu, crab, clams, mussels, crawfish, squid, several items I'm not sure what they were but tasted good, and then a whole other buffet line for dipping sauces: sweet and spicy chili, peanut, soy, ponzu my favorite) . One could make a meal out of just the buffet without the meat! There is chocolate and vanilla ice cream if for some wild reason dinner wasn't enough. Staff came around just the right amount for privacy but also to fill up water. Delightfully healthy experience and we're sure to return.
I am giving a 2 stars because:1. For lunch there were just 4 kinds of meats, 2 types of pork, 1 beef and 1 chicken item. For the money they charge, I would not think these are enough options.2. Did not like the presentation. the utensils were made of dirty looking metals, looked like hospital plates. Using glass or ceramic plates would have been better.3. I have never found any hotpot soup as bland as theirs. You have to keep on adding this or that to make it taste ok.4. No option for desserts except for some commerical not so tasty icecreams (only 3 flavors).5. Charging 15% tip already added to the bill did not seem ok for service they provided. Its a buffet style hotpot, except for the meat, you will have to bring our own food from the salad bar.
Worst experience with AYCE. The soups were tasteless. We ordered 1 house special and 1 seafood soup, but they both taste like boiled water. The lady server was showing attitude when we ordered more meats. The shrimps weren't fresh, crab claws were spoiled when I tried it ?There is very limited option of veggies and seafood. I was so disappointed. They even automatically charged us 15% tips for 2 people, even on the menu said they only automatically charged with party of 6 and up.Horrible experience. Never come back!
I wish I could give the place more stars but for 28.99 all you can eat I was expecting better quality meat and seafood. The vegetables and seafood did not look fresh. Some of the fish balls tasted spoiled. It was decent enough to get by but not worth 28.99. The service was good and one of the ladies was really nice. The place looked empty only shabu upstairs and it didn't seems like they have much business.
Cooking your own food at the table is always a delightful experience with family! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the customer service was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and vibrant. I highly recommend this place for a unique dining experience. Although the prices are on the higher side, it's certainly worth it.
