Samba Loca - Carrollton

The service was nonexistent throughout the evening. I really dislike when upscale restaurants charge extra to substitute side dishes. When you're paying over $20 for an entrée in Carrollton, you expect better. It's no surprise the place was empty on Saturday night. You can get better value and service at Ruby Tuesday. I won't be returning.

Great restaurant on the Square in downtown Carrollton. Highly recommend. There was live music on the Square which made for a very nice evening. The weather was cool so we sat inside but did have outside seating which would have been great if it was a little warmer or if they had patio heaters. Our waiter was very good and the manager came by to see how everything was.

My husband and I have eaten twice at Samba Loca and have enjoyed it each time. The food is fresh and nicely seasoned. This last trip we took a chance on a traditional Brazilian dish called Moquecas. It is a seafood stew cooked in coconut milk and served over rice. I highly recommend it. The one pot was enough for two people and lunch the next day. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I had a late dinner here with our son and his girlfriend after an awards ceremony at UWG. It was quiet, clean and pleasant with not a lot of other patrons in the building. Our waiter was attentive. The pico and bread were simple and tasty. Our food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. The beer choices suited us well and were served cold and quickly. We loved our dinner and will return again when we need to go to Carrollton in the future.

Went on Sunday at 5pm. The wait staff was attentive but our party (4) waited for an hour for our meals to arrive despite being one of only 3 small parties in the restaurant. The food was not worth the experience. It was our first last time to this establishment.
