I always enjoy my visits to Awake. Their service is fast and you don?t have to wait a long time for your food. Their menu offers a little bit of everything in terms of breakfast and brunch items. I enjoy their sweet items including their French toast and waffles. For their sides, their potatoes are delicious! View all feedback.
What Cindy D doesn't like about Awake:
Very disappointing considering all the good reviews. I asked for hash browns well done they weren’t, only a very small part was dark brown. When I asked server about it, she told me that they consider what I was served to be well done. She offered to have them cooked further but by the time the offer was made I was already 2/3 of the way through my meal. The omelette was fine, nothing special. When I received the bil... When I received the bill I found out I was charged 75 cents because I asked for a different jelly/jam. I wasn’t given the courtesy of being told the there was a charge. Overall a disappointing experience. I won’t be back.
I’ve been to many Awake locations, but this one is OPPOSITE of the vibe I was looking for on a brunch n mimosa kind of day. The atmosphere felt like a nursing home and halfway house merged together. The lack of service speaks for its self if you view the photo- more guest showed and all services were at the back eating or texting. I would have asked to speak to the manager but turns out he was back there in a corner doing his paper work in plain sight of his guest not being served. I would recommend going to sixty vines ladies and gents!! This awake location earned their 2 stars on the quality of the food alone. The cook should have 10 stars.
The food is ok, nothing is signature. I have the worst experience with server. He brought me orange juice with red lipstick mark on the glass. Moreover, the menu said 100% fresh orange juice, but the orange juice tastes like one from the bottle. In addition, I have seen the server put the silverware in hot water glasses for other customers except my table. I felt less respected at the restaurant.
I usually order for pick up/To go…the lady in the front is a Ray of sunshine. She is always smiling, very nice, great customer service. I just wanted to say that’s why I come back weekly. I didn’t catch her name but she has dark hair and wears glasses…. Just the nicest!Food: 5/5
I was disappointing when Egg and I closed as I was a huge fan. I was excited to find out Egg and I had evolved to Awake with my favorite recipes still the same. Some of the menu items have change, but they were all good changes. The Apple cinnamon granola pancakes are as amazing as ever! The avocado scramble, waffles…all delicious. Definitely one of my favorite places for breakfast and brunch.
