What T5385DAmichellet doesn't like about Johnny's Chef:
The food at this restaurant was not good - it was very salty and had a gloopy texture. To make matters worse, I received the wrong order. When I called to complain, they just laughed at me. I definitely won't be coming back to this place. View all feedback.

Our food was cooked in really good time and a bag of complimentary prawn crackers included. My Malaysian prawn curry was delicious and the rice was perfectly cooked. My partner had the Cantonese sweet and sour chicken and enjoyed it very much. He had chips which weren’t the best but that’s the only criticism we would have. It’s nice to support local eateries as we travel around on our motorhome and this was one I would not hesitate to recommend.
The food is always wonderful and it's a wonderful treat at the end of the weekend. The staff are friendly and helpful
During the pandemic lock down we were very glad to be able to call for a take away meal. I had a share of an order of no. 79, pork Szechuan style, for £6.30, with boiled rice, plus an extra dish of stir-fried mixed vegetables for £3.20. That combination feeds two of us. I really liked the pork, green pepper, broccoli, the sauce, the bean sprouts, and carrot slices. It’s a great combination, with flecks of chillies in the mix. It was an excellent meal, very tasty. Johnny's Chef is very well located, a few meters from the (1877 1890) train station, or a little more to the free park-and-ride car park.
Was a little reluctant to go here, but when I saw the amount of business being, it had to ve good. I had Crispy Lemon chicken with fried rice. Absolutely delicious. Enough for 2 meals, and only £7.30. Highly recommend and will definitely be back this week.
Why some terrible reviews? Here in our motorhome and had a fabulous takeaway again, we were here in 2021 and it was as good as I remember, open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked, it was so good we had a takeaway two nights running.
