Espresso At Etc - Carrickfergus

We have been frequenting this wonderful coffee shop for years. During our visits last year, we noticed that one of the girls behind the counter (whom we believe was the manager) was quite loud and bossy towards the other staff members in a rude manner. This detracted from our overall experience. However, we were pleased to discover that she had left around Easter time. Since then, we have returned multiple times and found that the food quality has improved greatly. The staff are all now delightful to interact with. This is our favorite spot in Carrick.

I visited ETC on Tuesday, July 13th in the afternoon. Initially, I found the staff to be slow in tidying tables and had to be reminded to do so when new customers arrived. The Americano coffee was very weak and unfortunately, the waitress forgot to bring milk to the table. Despite saying she would bring some, she never did, so we had to go and ask for it ourselves. The tables were also very close together, which made social distancing difficult, and there was no sign-in book for contact tracing.

Excellent everything, but their gluten free products are amazing. Oh and the staff are excellent. A most visit.

Called today for a carry out coffee and was very surprised that 2 off the staff serving behind the counter where not wearing masks!

This is our favourite coffee shop, the staff are the best, so friendly and can’t do enough for you, they serve mainly home made food and the German biscuits are the best I’ve ever had
