The marina' is a bit dowdy but the restaurant makes up for it big time. The service food is great and the outdoor restaurant is nice with a lovely log fire. A bit of traffic noise but not too bad. View all feedback.
What Balli N doesn't like about Beirnes Of Battlebridge:
The deep-fried brie was disappointing, as it was made with low-quality cheese. The chicken and chorizo pasta was decent, but the best part was actually the pasta itself. The chicken tasted cheap and rubbery. I would rate the wings a 3 out of 10 and the burger a 5 out of 10. Unfortunately, this place doesn't offer any gourmet food. View all feedback.
There is an over reliance on deep fat fryer as a method of cooking. Starters choice included deep fried Brie . Deep fried mushrooms and the chicken wings looked deep fat fried. Plus chips being served with all main courses. Considering it’s on the Shannon Blue way the only fish on offer was the fish of the day . While there were wines available there was actually no wine list almost unbelievable . With a some healthier food options and a decent wine list this place could easily flourish. Also some nice background music could make it a cosy spot
Very welcoming and friendly staff.. amazing tranquility and location.. perfect for a night away from it all ..close to leitrim village
On doing the blueway from Drumshambo, we decided to have a quick bite before making the return journey. Lovely menu, good portions and a pleasant welcome from the efficient girls serving. The ambience of a traditional Irish pub which has adapted to serve tasty food while maintaining the decor. Would certainly go back and ideally located whether walking, sailing or driving past Battlebridge.
We had dinner on Good Friday and all enjoyed a fantastic meal. All of us found our favourites on the menu, food and service was faultless. I had the fish and chips and it was perfectly fresh homemade batter etc. The music session was great fun afterwards. We also had breakfast, incredible quality and value. And Easter Sunday lunch was faultless despite being very busy. We all will be happy to return soon.
Bar and restaurant adjoining a caravan park. Welcoming and dog friendly. Service was slow no idea how to use iPads for taking order- best to go back to paper and pen) Food was okay, nothing super special but not bad. The bathroom is grim and the bar seating itself not super clean.
