El Ranchito La Presa - Carpentersville

Trash food! This is the second time that I order food here I thought in the first time that maybe because of the delivery thats why it looks like this but NO!

Called ahead on the weekend to get menudo, the girl who answered says they have it. They did not have it when I showed up ten mins later. The manager said she could save me some the next day, we picked a time, she took down my name and number. We drove out, and no menudo was even made at all that day, another girl said.

Went to see if the food was good as the reviews made it out to be and was very surprised. I had ordered the steak burrito and it was very flavorful. Nothing seemed off and ingredients looked fresh! Was very happy with the outcome. Would recommend to those who are looking for mexican food nearby without going all the way to Elgin for the same priced food.

The reason for the 3 star is because I was charged $50 for 2 whole fish dinners. However, I don’t show the name or this price on their menu on their website. All we did was point to a picture and paid the amount you see in the pic. I just want to make sure we weren’t scammed, if anyone can show they have paid this amount for this specific item I will update my review. Thanks in advance
