A welcoming, quaint inn in the heart of Carpegna, a charming place to visit in and of itself when in the area. The dining rooms are spacious and well-maintained... read more A welcoming, quaint inn in the heart of Carpegna, a charming place to visit in and of itself when in the area. The dining rooms are spacious and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is prompt. It's best to book in advance because it fills up quickly, and the reason is easy to explain: the quality of the ingredients, well-cooked and served. We sampled the famous local prosciutto, with crostolo, and the carpaccio with blackthorn mushrooms. We then continued with cappellacci with asparagus and truffle, and the green agnolotti with prosciutto and Fossa cheese, both exquisite. For our second course, the lamb was truly delicious. The olive oil served at the table was also excellent. Congratulations!

The grilled meat and the agnolotti al fossa with Carpegna prosciutto were also delicious. I highly recommend it.
