Subsurface restaurant, quite easy to miss, just by the old town square. Plenty of room inside and the high vaulted stone roof is interesting. Not very busy on the weekday evening when we visited, but a few takeaway pizzas were helping trade. Not expecting such an excellent medaglioni di manzo i.e.huge steak in a mushroom sauce. Excellent quality and cooked perfectly. Mrs EPR's pizza judged impressive too. Followed with an affogato-style dessert which was good too. Draught german beer and cold red wine in a carafe helped wash it all down. Cheerful young waitress was always watchful and efficient. Based on the foregoing, the bill seemed quite tiny under the circumstances. Well worth seeking out.
