The tavern don peppe immediately presents itself as an intimate and welcoming place, with some tables, elegant. Don peppe, the patron, welcomes you as a guest and makes you feel right at home. paper is varied but not very long, with dishes of the day that already make a market kitchen, made of fresh ingredients and quality. the wine card is also short, with the feet well planted in the territory and with embroidery more than honest, friendly. We choose a rosé from the black grapes of whore, following the advice of don peppe that is immediately precious, the wine begins to release its aromas already on the reception of the meatballs of eggplants. Then we start with the beginning of the house, a series of degotations of the territory, all excellent, including the puree of favas with crispy squids and bietes, and the crouto of fried bread with stracciatella of putignano, capocollo and fichi. in the kitchen there is the wise hand of carla, wife of juseppe, who knows how to treat the ingredients, with respect, playing on the contrasts of consistency without ever covering the flavors, indeed enhancing them. the service continues smooth, not fast and could not be otherwise because everything is prepared at the moment, but don peppe is a loving and graceful guest, and it is already time to taste the first. strascinati con ricotta, pesto di mandorle e melanzane, a confirmation that in the kitchen carla has the happy hand with the cooking, to the point that we choose according to the octopus is roasted and fried. and suddenly we forget the many disappointments that this mollusc has given us in the past. here we are at very high levels for consistency and the goto, and almost close so the dinner to preserve longer the memory of this dish, but carla that has reached us in the room we recommend to taste its ricotta cake, sweet, but not stucco, worthy closure of the best dinner we made in puglia during these summer holidays. at the time of the account comes another welcome surprise, the prices are from tavern, really low in proportion to the quality and quantity of what we ate. the deadly family, juseppe, carla and the young Franciscans who flank in the hall the father, knows how to work with passion and is building an oasis of good goto and has a really close taste to everyone. to us remains the memory of a wonderful evening, the regret for not having been able to repeat the visit to taste the meats, and the desire to return soon, perhaps only for the cut with fondue of Parmesan and pepper that already swallows only to thought, soon, then ....

The debut was: do as if I were home. In fact, almost because we still have the mortgage they say, juseppe and his family really make you feel at home, spoil you and pamper you (and they make you fat). excellent choice of dishes, between sea and land, menu with local but not discounted dishes, good fish (obviously) and good meat (byrciando the nearby tables) all cooked with skill. try if you are in the area, but even if it should be a deviation from the route, highly recommended. ps better to book covers are few.

Great! delicious recipes and family-run restaurant. we felt, indeed better than at our house thanks to the exquisite sympathy of the owner, his wife cooking great talent and their two daughters of talent. we will definitely come back, whenever we are on holiday in car!

If you could give more stars I would do it with a lot of pleasure! excellent reception of the staff, in particular Mr. Giuseppe. exceptional service, kindness elegance and uniqueness of the place as well as cozy, intimate and especially familiar. excellent food, delicious and especially fresh. Mrs. Carla's culinary fantasy...what to say...fantastic! I recommend absolutely, even if you have to do more km to reach it!
