Dining at L Aigle d 'Or is truly a unique experience if you like a Bistrot style setting and atmosphere with amazing Italian food. The passion that goes into every dish is incredible. We chose the recommended wine and it was designed to complement the food. I...really cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, I have eaten in many high quality restaurants around the world and this one tops the lot! It is also on... View all feedback.
What Alex Mason doesn't like about Aigle d'Or:
Nous avons mangé entre amis, le filet de bœuf avec risotto. Le filet était moyen par contre le risotto c'était vraiment top. En ce qui concerne la facture elle était adaptée à Carouge !! View all feedback.
We were here at least once a month, but this was our first visit after the Covid lock. the owner, ludovico, and the wonderful table service of giada, were as before: excellent. definitiw recommend this local carouge bistro, but in advance as,. even on a Thursday evening, it was full.
I did not expect this local restaurant to serve so authentic and good quality Italian cuisine. the menu is small, but has arranged a large selection of Italian. I had a risotto with squid ink that was perfectly cooked and very tasty. the other guests. had pasta and they were also very happy with their dresses. the service is very friendly. I recommend this hidden gem. from my own are the weeping, which are very good, but only down, relatiw expensive.
It doesn't happen very often to comment how passionate the staff of a restaurant is about their work. This was the case at L'Aigle d'Or where the chef and the waitress alike had that special shine ('rayonnement ') of those who take genuine pleasure and shine in delivering a great dining experience to their guests. The menu offers plenty of choice, but in the great tradition of authentic cooking the kitchen will try and accommodate any request you may have: add this, remove that, cook something completely different for the kids. The use of high quality ingredients helps the end result: the Peruvian ceviche was excellent and such a simple dish doesn't lie. Same for the bouillon: an un-glamorous home made vegetablem consommé which we were talking about the day after, still.Deserts were equally excellent and the service was something special.Highly recommended.
