This is a small cafe by the side of the road, nothing much to look at from the outside, but it is run by a family and frequented constantly by local fishermen who bring their freshly caught produce to it. Their cooking is great, definitely done by the great cooks in the family (mother/grandmother), and they have simple stuff from the sea squid, hake, octopus, small sardines; some meats such as raxo pork seasoned with garlic and parsley, and zorza, which also has paprika), and stews (e.g., chickpeas with chorizo). I recommend a bocadillo de calamares (deep fried squid in a baguette) that you can take to the beach, and also try their free tapas with your afternoon snack. Grumpy looking owner, but who probably makes the best coffee in Caldebarcos.
Excellent, good attention and a great place to share a coffee or drink. thanks to your owners.
