After a long 7 hour drive we went to the water's edge restaurant after booking into our lodge for a nice drink and some food. I approached the barman who looked... read more After a long 7 hour drive we went to the water's edge restaurant after booking into our lodge for a nice drink and some food. I approached the barman who looked bemused at my request to order some food to have outside. I was told that they was to busy and had a very busy evening ahead IT WAS 5.30PM AND NOT A SINGLE PERSON WAS EATING FOOD JUST DRINKING so not sure why at such an early time they couldn't cook some very basic pub food as this is what the menu is. £18 for fish and chips I went to reception to complain and was told this time by a so called bar manager that he was under staffed?? Very poor attitudes and lies. More than happy to discuss with the so called manager again. Langdale lodge number 17

It was also disappointing t... read more I had a great experience with the food, earning a solid 5 stars, but unfortunately the dinner menu wasn't available during my visit. It was also disappointing to find out they weren't participating in the Eat Out to Help Out government scheme for 50% off. One of the staff members left me a bit confused by offering me soda or water with my orange juice, and then they asked if I wanted it fresh. Additionally, it was frustrating to be denied outdoor seating despite the area being empty.
