Five Star Fried Chicken Resturant

This family restaurant is located right off the main road, is decidedly local, with a Southern inspired menu and service to boot. We were seated quickly and placed our order. I went with the fried chicken, the special of the day. The chicken was served with two sides and a roll. I went with the mash potatoes and the Mac and cheese. The servings were generous and the need for any kind of dessert was just not there. The chicken was tender and cooked through with the skin much like cracklin but without the bold flavor. The service was excellent and local. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend!

I had a sausage and cheese omelette with grits and pattie sausage. Everything was great. The sausage here is the best. Kimberly was my waitress . Great job

I was passing this restaurant before I got on the highway, so I stopped in for dinner. The clientele here is mostly truckers from the station next door. The food is not great, but it only costs 10 for dinner, and they even ask you if you want to take some home. This is your basic fried chicken, gravy and briskets, and salad bar. One surprising thing is they had breakfast still out at 5 pm. Scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns, etc. I hope it wasn't left out for 10 hours.

Stop in for some of the best country cooking in the south! Buffet meal at a great price. If it's not hot on the buffet, the ladies will get it cooked fresh for you. I love the Friday night sea food. For a quick lunch, order a hamburger all the way! It is so delicious, with juices running down your hand.

We had read some reviews and thought that this restaurant being in business for 50 plus years would speak for itself....no! The food was mediocre at best. My oldest daughter literally tried a bite of something and spit it back out. She had to go to the restroom because she wasn’t sure if she was going to get sick. From the website we thought it was supposed to be seafood night and it was not. Our waitress was very friendly, but we couldn’t get past the food.
