Shige Sushi - Carmichael

Bbq albacore, wakame salad (von oto’s), tenpura veggies, tenpura shishito appetizers were all as expected. saporro and echigo stout were in temperature and taste right. chirashi sushi and nigiri/shishimi combo dinners were fresh and properly prepared. the service was incompatible and ordered items were forgotten or delayed.

I was in there. Eat was great! the service was terrible. the waitress brought my meal with the bill and she immediately asked to pay her. I put it aside and I put my teller to eat, as I was so hungry and was on my meal almost half an hour. she came back to pay my bill gave her my credit card and returned my bill and asked me to sign it for the 3rd time. what I did. I was so upset as this happens within minutes. I signed and left only less than 10% drinking money. she came back to argue why I left her less on han 10 % she asked if there was a gravity on the bill? Anyway, I'm not here. she was rude.

I wanted to try, and I made a phone order and they told me that it will be ready for pu in 40 minutes. when I was ready for pu, it was not prepared to try to talk another out and find the woman who was rude. very disappointed and the customer service suck.

Laid back place but very high quality fish. Nice sake selection. Always delicious. Not cheap but not unreasonable.

Is it world class sushi, no. But it’s damn good sushi at an affordable price. Can’t beat the location for a quick layover on your way to Tahoe.
