the new menu is absolutely amazing, I had the lambburger and the strawberry sundae and I can safely say it is the best pub food I ever had with fast and super friendly service View all feedback.
No longer selling food as of July 2023, but a very friendly place. With lovely staff and locals who directed us to another place.
Lovely large beer garden to sit in with your dogs, inside and outside dog friendly. Food was great with large portions, especially the amount of pork belly I got. Very friendly staff to tourists. Highly recommend it.
Recently we took our neighbours out for a 'thank you ' dinner. We have been trying to make it to the Derlwyn Arms for quite some time. Seeing as none of us has ever been to the Derlwyn and it 's only a few miles away, we decided that this was just the opportunity we had been waiting for. We arrived at 18.30 as per booking made with Lisa Owner Chef and were shown to our table in a well appointed clean and comfortable dining room next to a window, as I 'd requested. Drinks and the menus arrived soon after. The Owner welcomed us to the Derlwyn and told us that Rebecca would be our waitron for the evening. As it turned out, he also served our table quite frequently throughout the evening. Much debate ensued about what we were going to order from the small but well planned/thought out menu. It appears that the owners have studied the customers culinary needs and interpreted them very well. Eventually we ordered; Rump Steak well done ! Hunters Chicken and far too much salad pork belly best I 've had in many years could do with some veggies and a baked Camembert with sourdough bread chutney. All the plates were well presented. Compliments to the chef; Lisa managed to do a 'well done ' steak without it drying out or being tough and belly pork without tons of fat but with stunning crackling. We have already recommended the Derlwyn to friends and will be going ourselves again in the not too far future. There is a nice outside garden area with covered tables which caters for those who are rugged enough to take on our Welsh weather. NB: They make a really good coffee! As part of their brainchild to raise Brynamman 's profile in the surrounding valleys and villages, we were offered free cinema tickets to attend a movie of our choice at The Brynamman Public Hall Cinema. This cinema we are lead to believe, has been meticulously refurbished to it 's former glory by Tom, who will in return, give us a voucher for 10% discount off our next meal at the Derlwyn.
Nice welcome, efficient service, very pleasant and not noisy like some other Pubs so nice to be able to meet up for a catchup with friends...being local we will all visit again for food as it looked delicious
Visited whilst staying in Upper Brynamman, lovely pub, fab friendly welcoming staff, and the food was yummy. Curry/mountain burger/classic burger, all were really lovely
