We arranged for a buffet for a wake and had already checked with the restaurant owner that it was ok to bring family made cakes and was told it was fine. Owner then approached the deceased son and told him that he was very unhappy...with us bringing our family made cakes. This was very upsetting and completely unacceptable. My family and I visited for a Sunday lunch carvery and were extremely impressed with the variety of vegetables (peas, swede, potatoes, mash, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, cabbage, roast parsnips, cauliflower cheese) and meat on offer (lamb, beef, turkey, pork and gammon).
