Our evening meal was delicious. I recommend the duo of ressols for starter a meal in itself. My husband had veg soup which he said was very tasty, I had the sausage and mash and veg while my husband had the salmon and tagiatelly. A lovely meal and very attentive staff. View all feedback.
What joneskid doesn't like about Samphires:
We took the 3 Course option for £27:00 . My Mackeral starter was one stip of what I Call shop bought smoked in a packed type that had been put under the Grill with a couple of leave and Orange and Grapefruit segment ! My Sea Bream for main was only one filet over cooked. We were not offered and Bread while others were. We did complain but still did'nt recve any. My experience at the restaurant on two separate occasions while staying at the hotel has been disappointing. Today, I had lunch and ordered the mushroom tagliatelle with garlic bread, priced at 15 pounds. Unfortunately, the garlic bread was burnt and the whole dish lacked flavor. A pasta dish with mushrooms should be bursting with rich taste and interesting textures, but this one fell short. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the staff, they seemed indifferent. In a reputable restaurant, such feedback would typically prompt concern from management, but that was not the case here. It seems that the restaurant either doesn't prioritize quality or lacks a proper complaint handling process. With the high prices at this establishment, I cannot recommend it for a meal, especially considering the lackluster experience I had.
We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the views were stunning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We have tried a few dishes at this restaurant, and while the food is well cooked and presented nicely, it has a slightly generic feel to it. The tomatoes seem lackluster in color and flavor, likely sourced from a factory, and the burgers taste like they have been frozen. The chef is skilled but lacks passion for the ingredients. The restaurant has a great location, but it seems they are playing it safe instead of striving for excellence. They charge £7 for a small portion of cheese. I believe they could benefit from incorporating fresh herbs, local meat, and locally sourced fish into their menu.
Fantastic food, couldn't fault anything. Service was also top class. Really enjoyed, lovely atmosphere.
Excellent food and service.....would not hesitate to recommend. Will be returning next time we are in the area or staying in the hotel.
