What Taffyby doesn't like about Laurian's:
I had been to most restaurants in Burry Port but i had never tried Laurians.I went in and met the owner who was busy dealing with a long line of customers,after he had served several he ran out of fish.He put several good chunky pieces in to fry,hurry up someone said,he was having none of it, as he said there is only one way to prepare fish and thats correctly.Although i was hungry,i thought there is no argeuing with... I had another fantastic lunch at Lauriens! The staff is always friendly, the food is high quality, and the prices are competitive. The cod was amazing, with a light golden batter on top of tender white fish. The chips were perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. I appreciated the fresh lemon served with the fish. Lauriens is definitely a hidden gem in Burry Port and I highly recommend it.
As always, Lauriens never fails to impress! Our recent lunch was fantastic, with perfectly cooked white fish, crispy light batter, and perfectly cooked chips. We always enjoy chatting with the friendly owner while waiting for our delicious meal, but you can also pre-order by phone. Can't recommend this place enough!
I recently had the best Rissoles and chips at this restaurant. It was the most delicious I have ever tasted. I highly recommend trying it. The chef cooks everything fresh, so everything is lovely and hot.
It's hard to find a chippy that will cater for vegans/gluten free/vegetarians, but the gentleman had a separate frier and was able to accommodate my friends and I with a chippy tea, as long as you give some notice so he can get the separate frier running then it's no problem. Highly recommend this place, the chips were beautiful. He took my order over the phone and they were ready for me to pick up on arrival, fantastic service, and gorgeous chips to eat on the beach. We like chips and Laurien’s chips are the best. Worth the 40 minute drive. Also excellent sausages and rissoles.
