We popped in for a quick drink, but more to see the craft side of things. The Cafe is lovely, friendly staff, nice and clean. If you are looking for gifts from Wales, you have come to the right place. Fabulous little Welsh gift shop. It’s got every type of Welsh gifts you could think of. It’s a must do place if your in Llandovery on a day trip or passing through. Well worth going in.. Mike View all feedback.
What sagsSouthWales doesn't like about Kitchen Garden Cafe:
We stopped for an ice cream one afternoon and it was a bit of a palava! This isn't somewhere I would rush back to and there are so many places which offer better in the town. View all feedback.
I visit this restaurant a few times per week just to grab a coffee. The atmosphere is laid-back and the prices are fair. They also have a gift shop with a wide selection that may tempt you, so be careful. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes that are made to order. Definitely worth a try.
Lots of choice of eating places in Llandovery but this was just right. Not overpriced and freshly cooked food. Our order was a little messed up but was put right eventually. Only criticism would be if you do get it wrong at least apologize when you deliver the order. Otherwise nice place to chill.
We arrived around 3:30pm and were informed that they had stopped serving food, but they kindly made us a sandwich instead. The sandwiches were both delicious! The menu offers a wide variety of choices. We also bought some Kendal Mint Cake, which is rarely found in this area. The staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Yesterday, my partner and I visited LLandovery based on the good reviews. My partner ordered the goats cheese salad while I opted for the steak and ale pie. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately the goats cheese salad lacked flavor and it was hard to distinguish that the cheese was actually goat's cheese. The steak pie had unusually thick pastry, more like what you would find in a steak pudding rather than a pie, and there was very little meat inside. The gravy, served in a small jug, had a strange chemical taste like vegetable stock rather than traditional gravy. Both meals were expensive for what they were, especially when compared to other more upscale cafes and restaurants in the town center. Overall, we were quite disappointed and it was the first time both my partner and I found ourselves adding salt to our meals to make them more palatable. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
We called in for a cuppa and some lunch as they welcomed our little dog. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. There were several little shops there, selling baskets, welsh cards, jams, etc. and we saw several really nice things to buy (which we did). A really nice place and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would certainly visit here again.
