Good choice of items on the menu for a light lunch. Something for everyone. Dishes include a range of paninis, a range of salads, quiche and soup. Some choices were a little different to your bog standard choices, such as bacon, brie and cranberry panini, and pear, walnut and blue cheese salad. They have something for all tastes in my opinion. Good choice of hot chocolates too, including vanilla, mint and orange. Fri... View all feedback.
What H4772NMrogerh doesn't like about Harrison's:
This is a light and airy cafe overlooking the river with a garden that would be attractive when the weather is warmer. I had the so called olympic breakfast which was well cooked and presented. The coffee was also excellent. However at £11 for breakfast plus two extra slices of toast and one coffee I would have expected at least tomatoes, mushrooms and/or black pudding. Hand sliced toast would also have been apprecia... View all feedback.
Popped in here twice for a coffee and a cake. Good service, nice food, lovely coffee. Happy days! Would recommend.
Lovely cafe in a very quaint town. Fantastic food with lots of choice for both adults and children. Fab service with very pleasant staff. Definitely worth visiting if your in Newcastle Emlyn.
We happened upon this café/restaurant by chance. What lovely people and really good food. Such a variety on the menu too. This is an absolute gem.
From start to finish a very contradicting experience. Says on the window dog friendly but after the staff member said you better shake him off he let us in begrudgingly. We were banished to the front window with the smallest table in Wales, which then preceded to fall apart on my wife, so being the trooper she is put it back together. Ordered 3 meals and asked for a large pot of tea for all of us. He then said .. what 3 meals and 1 drink? I said yes as that will be plenty he said no it's for 1 person. I said ok 3 teas then. Tea comes, enough tea to keep the guests of the last supper for the night. So just wanted us to pay for 3 drinks not 1. Food was average, sausages and hash brown burnt. Doesn't take card. All a bit underwhelming. The guy just looked like he didnt want to be there.
The dog friendly option to sit in the garden and take in the stunning view was perfect. We were also very pleased with the quality and price of the food and drink on offer. There are great veggie and vegan friendly options on offer. The food was really tasty. Staff were friendly enough but were very slow and a bit unenthusiastic about customer service. One of our orders was missing part of the meal, we told the waiter and he went to retrieve the missing item; though there seemed little enthusiasm in doing so. The only thing that really needs sorting out is the lack of card payment. It is not right in this day and age to not accept chip and pin. I've worked for a small business and I understand the dynamics. The excuse is not good enough. I would be happy to pay a little bit extra to account for card payment facilities it's totally worth it. Other than that, it was a reallly pleasant experience and a great place to stop for lunch or afternoon tea.
