Been there last night with my boyfriend, excellent food, wonderful cocktail and friendly service. All made in a really warm location. I was feeling back to Italy for a night, try this restaurant just open a week ago and you'll not be disappointed. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Royal Aiyara:
We were greeted quite firmly by the Italian host at the front, but we decided to overlook it. The prices were typical of Lygon Street. The food was delicious; I had the calf's mushroom dish, my friend had the filet steak which was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and my son had the adult-sized spaghetti bolognese for $22.90, although the portion size was disappointing for the price. My daughter, who is 11 years old, ordere... View all feedback.
Walking through Lygon Street come across this great restaurant, it was good to see the front door persons were not pushy like the rest of the restaurants so we decided to go in.All our meals were great and the service was really good, you can tell it was all freshly cooked. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We went here with 2 families and ate pasta and lasagne. There wasvdnough room to place the pram. They did not have high chairs for infants. Now the lasagne was tasty with a strong tomato flavour. It gad many layers of pasta. Between was minced meat and not much else. Different how I know lasagne. Prices are set between 22 to 35dollar which I find quite a lot for pasta.
We were accosted pretty hard by the Italian out the front so we thought we would give it a go. Prices were Lygon street prices. Meals were tasty, I had veal mushroom, hubby had fillet steak which was melt in your mouth, and tasty , son had adult spag Bol $22.90 which was a really disappointing size. For that price I would have expected a big bowl, however it was tasty. Daughter (11) asked just for plain crumbed chicken and chips, came out with 2 tenderloins and handful of chips. The bill arrived and I was charged $15.90 for daughters meal, I went in and spoke to them, they changed it to $10.90 which was reasonable. It was nice food but there is better on Lygon street.
We went to this restaurant early on a Saturday night. Our family of 8 received prompt friendly service. I was happy that this restaurant served children's meals as we had 4 children with us. I had linguine marinara which was amazing. All the meals on the table were very much enjoyed except for the kids lasagnes. The children found them too rich and tomatoey. The prices of the meals were very reasonable.
Food was ok but we had to wait well over an hour for food to arrive. Is this place run by Italians ???
