Last week, from January 6th to 11th, 2017, our group of six visited Melbourne. While out for a walk, we stumbled upon Brother Dough and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. We ordered some delicious homemade pies, including Tandoori chicken and chunky beef. The pies were absolutely amazing. We also tried their pizza, specifically the Capricciosa, which was the best pizza I have ever had. Overall, Brother Dough is a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Brother Dough Pizzeria Caffe:
I have visited this cafe quite a few times as it is the closest to my work, but I rarely go because although the food is fairly good, it is mostly overpriced. However, the main issue is its owner whose communication and PR skills really leave to be desired. No Hello, no Please, no Thank you, No Have a good day/Goodbye to his customers and not the nicest to person to his staff either. I don't believe I have seen him s... View all feedback.
My experience with this restaurant was quite mixed. The positives include the fact that I have been a regular customer for several weeks, enjoying their good coffee, tasty soups, and well-priced sandwiches. The staff, particularly the ladies, are excellent - friendly, polite, and efficient. However, the lack of atmosphere due to the low customer traffic, uncomfortable tall seats, and cold, windy location under the EPA & Trinity College building are definite drawbacks. Furthermore, one of the owners, who I suspect is responsible for the lack of warmth and engagement, impacts the overall experience negatively. Despite the good food and prices, I am hesitant to give this restaurant more than three stars due to these issues. With so many other options nearby, including QVM, I would likely choose elsewhere if it weren't for the proximity of this place. It's a shame, as there is potential for improvement in the customer service department.

This cafe has a good variety of food, not only pizza. Lunchtime is always busy. It is popular with students from RMIT. University.. Prices are reasonable, I quite enjoyed my visit.
The smell was devine and the pizzas were great. The service was slow but they were really busy. It was quite warm and so i think no one wanted to cook. The pizzas were fresh and tasty, but i do like a bit more topping!
If you find yourself near Queen Victoria Markets, this restaurant is a fantastic spot for coffee and breakfast or lunch. The owners are friendly and the atmosphere is great. We always stay at one of the hotels on Thierry Street and grab our morning coffee from here, as it's just a short one or two minute walk away on Victoria Street.
