This is a lovely country pub, both in its exterior and interior design. While parking is limited, there are plenty of seating options available both outdoors and indoors. The ales were excellent—well-kept and properly served. The service was polite, though it seemed the owner was a bit overwhelmed after busy periods. We would certainly return if we found ourselves in the area again. View all feedback.
What a wonderful situation. friendly staff that enabled us to get a drink shortly before the conclusion of the time. will definitely be a bite again and perhaps next time also to eat (but not to finish time!
A really nice pub! eating was really good, and they had a great selection of local beers and gins. the pub itself is really beautifully decorated and feels cozy and warm. the couples that run there are really nice, and are happy to give recommendations or try in every way they can, and we all loved their dog barney. a visit in the opposite would not be without a stop here for a drink or a bite to eat.
Such a lovely experience excellent range of drinks including some locally brewed beers and all the food was very delicious. Steak and ale pie was the best I've ever had, and they are well known for it in the area! Nice big portions (I could only manage the main course and also a very cute dog ;
Charming room with thoughtful touches like fresh milk, bottled water, and complimentary port! Serene atmosphere in picturesque countryside. Welcoming hosts!
We dropped in on a whim and were warmly welcomed, along with our dogs, despite their not-so-friendly nature towards people. The portions were generous, with an abundance of vegetables and two types of potatoes that were more than we could comfortably finish.
