Tip Top Meats & European Delicatessen

Located close to the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, Tip Top Meats is a German restaurant and butcher shop. The restaurant area is a counter order, not a served eatery. There is a relatively large seating area. The portions are ridiculously large and not aesthetically impressive but very good for the type of food. The butchery/deli has an array of frozen meats from your typical beef and chicken to whole ducks and Elk, as well as a variety of organ meats. They also sell sausages, sauces, mustards, alcohol, chocolates and other foods.

I came here for breakfast and it was great I highly recommend their coffee, I had it hot and black. The coffee was excellent. I also got the big John breakfast which I think is 3 eggs, a choice of meat, and potatoes. All the food was prepared well and presented wonderfully. I thought it was cool how there was a store that sold products connected to the diner and I purchased some of the coffee grounds that they had served at the diner. The service was great, the waitresses were kind and polite. I highly recommend you go to this place it didn't disappoint.

Everything is great so get what you like and you will be happy.From simple egg breakfast to steak and some of the best sausages, they have it all. Don't get me wrong, they have the best selection of sausage, that you can have there, take away, or get it at the deli and cook at home.The service is ever so nice. It does get a tad crowded, but you will be seated fast enough. It is worth a little wait.Parking is easy.The prices are really fair.We also love their burgers and any type of steak they have. They know how to cook.You can eat and then get some cool stuff to take home later to cook. Have the best time.

Authentic German/European restaurant and deli. Their homemade Sauerbraten is the best I've been able to find in SoCal. They marinate the meat unlike many knock offs which just use a sour gravy. The meal includes a roll, choice of sides, and soup or salad. A great value and delicious.
