Phở House Grill - Carlsbad

I ordered three different Banh Mi sandwiches, but they were missing key ingredients like the seasoning sauce, pâté, and cilantro. All I could taste was mayonnaise, which was quite disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.

I had takeout from this restaurant some time ago and it was quite enjoyable. However, when I decided to dine in, both the service and food were disappointing at best. The staff member who took our order didn’t write anything down, resulting in a mix-up with the protein choice for my son. When the cook brought the dish to our table, we informed him of the mistake, and he gave us a hostile stare before leaving angrily. My order was also incorrect, but I hesitated to voice my concerns to avoid any further conflict. Additionally, the floor was excessively slippery, as if it had been cleaned with too much soap and not rinsed properly—definitely a safety hazard. Overall, it was just a strange experience, and the food was quite bland. There are much better dining options within a 10-mile radius. By the way, what's with the watered-down Sriracha?

I absolutely love the #2 chicken pho, especially when I have a cold or on chilly days. It’s the ultimate comfort food chicken noodle soup! The flavors are always vibrant, and the ingredients are fresh. The staff has consistently been friendly and accommodating as well.

Flavorless experience, nice people, location, and selection just that the food lacked any kind seasoning. To the point of being sterile. Two main entrees and spring rolls will run you $40 Easy access and plenty of parking. Fast service to go was welcome.Food: 3/5

This has become my go to spot for Vietnamese food in Carlsbad. The food is always fresh, super flavorful and well made. They do have an actual grill here so the meat always has that crisp grilled flavor of street food. The service is impeccable, the people that work here are polite, accommodating but not overly warm, and are efficient. It truly is a gem.Quick edit: I've gotten the Pho Vien once and it was excellent, but my favorite meals here are the Bun bowls. They are excellent for a nice lunch pick me up.
