Overseas - Carlsbad

In my opinion, this is the best sitting Chinese food in North County. Having a ton of different dishes and I have about a dozen favorites, so it is always hard to choose which one has. It's about once a week for me.

My family has been eating here for years. You have good food with excellent, personable service. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the long-lasting Chinese restaurants that meet most American customers. In other words, do not expect authentic food. (Should anyone expect authentic Chinese cuisine in Carlsbad? Although I dimmed several times in Carlsbad, I also stayed some time in town, that was only the second time that we Chinese went. Expectations aside, this is definitely not one that I would recommend. Overseas Restaurant is located on the outskirts of Carlsbad Village, is spacious, comfortable and traditionally decorated. We went on a weekday after 7:00 and sat fast. The owner was very friendly and enthusiastic. There were many diners, although few were Asian. All signs point to a traditional, i.e. cantonese-orgin Chinese restaurant. But the menu contains dishes from virtually any large kitchen in China. Then the owner recommended twice boiled pig, a Marquee Szechuan dish. Every taste in this dish was wrong, except the smells. A fried water spinach dish that the owner was also recommended came from Blande. As a rule, all Chinese cuisine on the menu is usually a bad sign. It is like a restaurant is French Italian German Russian. (You can read my other reviews about exceptions to this rule.

I am happy to meet my new home communities. And Overseas Reataurant was well represented! When the waiter came to give us the bill, he put it on the table and during the diffraction wished us luck. Great food, great company Fortunes a lot! TY O.R. I appreciate it!!

We've been here a few times before and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, this time the sauce on the Mongolian beef was burned. They graciously replaced it with a much better tasting Broccoli beef dish. We will definitely return.
