American Heroes - Carlisle

This is the best place in Carlisle for a sub and a beer! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They offer a fantastic selection of bottled and draft beers. The atmosphere is cozy and the location is great. The food options are top-notch - the owner brings in fresh sub rolls daily that are always delicious and authentic. Whether you're looking for lunch or dinner, this is the perfect spot.

We have visited pa and moved here in 2008 , as long as we have visited or perm moved to pa .. we have never had a sub like we get in new jersey where we moved from. our son wanted us to try this place, we have drove by alot and never went, we did try it , and this place is awesome.... the subs are real subs just like we would get in new jersey on real italian sub roll and full size sub. . the subs are not made on pizza bread as all places do in pa.... my husband and i have gone there alot in the past week. we highly recommend american heroes...they have variety of diff type on their menu.. personally after trying american heroes this will be our permanent place we will order from for subs ... this place is the only place since we moved here that we finally found we can order a sub, and tastes and made just like getting from nj . it is eat in or take out... .. again we highly recommend them if you havent tryed them yet, please do , you will not regret it... thank you

I absolutely love this small sandwich shop! Every time I pass through Carlisle, I make sure to visit this place. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced, with generous portions.

Great staff, great food. It's even a nice place to just sit and have a nice cold beer to be a sub shop. I've come in a couple of times back to back; and the regulars that come in on a daily basis are also very nice people... GREAT PLACE

Was looking for non-chain place to grab lunch with in-laws and saw this. Food was very good (grinders, fries) and generous portions for the price. Will definitely be eating here again.
