Contribute FeedbackToby Carvery has garnered mixed reactions from patrons, highlighting both commendable service and significant areas for improvement. While some guests praised the exceptional quality of the food and the friendly demeanor of staff during busy periods, others encountered significant issues such as long waits, unsatisfactory meal quality, and a lack of cleanliness. Complaints about the state of the facilities and mismatched service expectations during peak times, such as Christmas, further marred the experience for many. Despite these challenges, the brand's reputation remains buoyed by dedicated staff members striving to provide a pleasant dining experience amid operational hurdles.
We visited 2-3 restaurants in this chain about the years and the carlisle filiale a few times. we are not going back. the food was dirty. the bark fat. who serves macaroni cheese (and at the same time very polite) with a sunday roast? the beverage machine...for pepsi refills was broken, so a five minute wait on the bar instead of a twenty second abandonment. the decor is old and tired and the place looks just a little dirty and smells like sweaty socks. a child walking around in naked feet was a surprise, but I think that's not the fault of the staff! but the worst. the toilets. like something from the train spot. Maybe just a short time, but they were absolutely grumpy. painted doors, broken wash basins and toilets and decorates faeces on the cubic wall. I don't exaggerate! the more pure must clean with the eyes that are closed there! a rettung grace was our kinder waiter. such a scandal as it is a convenient option is different. but a bit depressing.
Start with the good point. the staff that served the tables was friendly and efficient. bad points. we ordered the frying when we went to the roast, we said they had only the turkey or the bark, but the bark was very fat. I asked. if they had more beef, and the guy said he had to use the beef up here before they could get the other joint out. when I said that the current joint was not edible, he said he would go and ask how he told all customers that the bark was fat. a woman came out and said again that the remaining fatty joint had to be used first. they had no gay or gammon and said it would be 30 minutes waiting. the bark was not edible, so I just got the turkey, or I think it was the turkey. the meat was fat, very pink and actually looked under boiled, photo attached. the sweet were in order, probably what they expect from a mass production, help them to give buffet, although the maic was hard and clumpy. when we paid, they knocked 1.75 pounds for the meat. If they believe that their meat is only worth £ 1.75 per serving, then it shows them how low quality it really is! Definitiw will not be here for a roast.
Bark hard full gristle veg seemed to have been there for a long time. not to see if we were satisfied. no offer of sweet menu had to pay in the cash that took 10 minutes they offer a small refund. happy
I had planned the whole day breakfast, but instead decided for a nice bratessen. the place was very busy, but I had booked a table so I sat fast. I have never eaten a bad roast here, and as usual I enjoyed it on this. perfectly boiled veg, huge yorkshire powders mmmmm.
Visited on Friday 1st April, had the carvery at lunchtime. Great quality food all cooked to perfection. Our Server, Natalie, was exceptional. So genuinely appreciative of the customers, she was really pleasant to everyone!! It seemed a really happy place to be working there that...day, it just makes visiting somewhere special'. We'll worth a visit.
