What AMW1970 doesn't like about The Fat Cow:
I was recommended to try the Stanwix fish and chip shop, which was supposed to be nearby, but when I arrived it was closed. On my way back to the hotel, I found The Friary and it turned out to be a great find. I ordered a small cod and chips, but the portion size was quite generous. Delicious fish and chips served with mushy peas and curry sauce.we had our 6 month old grandson with us and the staff accommodated us very well with the buggy!

So please we called in here. As a person who has IBS I struggle to find batter that isn 't too fatty. This batter was absolutely perfect. Fish was lovely too. Hubby said the mushy peas were spot on too. Will definitely be back.
