Gillian 's restaurant deserves more customers! We had a good meal here last year and returned when we were in the area. As last year, there were not many customers on a Monday night but that 's not Gillian 's fault! Good Menu, freshly cooked food (worth the wait if you want fast food, get a big Mac). We had a just dreadful meal here tonight. I have never felt compelled to write a review before for a restaurant, but everything about tonight’s meal was disappointing. The takeaway menu at this restaurant is fantastic! We recently ordered a sausage cassoulet for myself and a chicken breast in tarragon sauce for my wife. Both dishes were delicious, especially the creamed potatoes which are always a highlight. The prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight and was greeted by welcoming and friendly staff. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Tasty starters from the Burns Night menu. Smoked salmon and avocado with a drizzle of whiskey. Neat veggie haggis presented in cabbage leaf shroud (see photo) for my partner and pork tenderloin with pureed smooth potato with swede very good too.All rounded off nicely with desserts.Meanwhile our dog behaved herself quietly under our table.
