It offers fresh local produce se... read more We live in the area and are so grateful that this lovely, modern yet warm restaurant with absolutely delicious food has opened! It offers fresh local produce served in an innovative and very tasty way, in a tasteful setting. One of my absolute favorite things, as well as the food and decor, is that there is NO TV, something you find in every single restaurant in the area and something I detest. We will keep going as often as possible and will keep spreading the word! In an area as traditional as this, opening a restaurant like this was a big gamble, because the mentality here tends to be narrow-minded and old, but fortunately there are people willing to take risks and make so many of us happy in doing so! Thank-you!

Clearly this restaurant gets the best of quality local dishes with a modern twist. Excellent service. Fair prices. Short but very very well executed carte. Do not miss the tempura starter and la piña colada dessert! We will be back.

The menu proves a wide variety of tasty options and also lists all the allergens in each dish. There was little waiting time, and the each dish had a beautiful presentation. The restaurant itself is modern and clean. It’s stunning interior points to a very thoughtful design. Marea is a must see. Treat yourself and make the stop!

After some very disappointing eating experiences on this tour of northern Spain we were recommended this restaurant by our host and somehow managed to walk in a... read more After some very disappointing eating experiences on this tour of northern Spain we were recommended this restaurant by our host and somehow managed to walk in and get a table for two on an otherwise fully booked Saturday night..please don 't try this, book to ensure you are not disappointed. The restaurant is new, very modern in an 'industrial/Scandinavian ' themed decor and staffed by very young, enthusiastic and very well trained staff. The menu is (thankfully) small (5 starters, 4 fish courses, 4 meat/veg and 4 desserts) and had we been staying longer in this area I would have willingly revisited on consecutive nights to try the lot! Ours were freshly cooked, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Get as many as you can to share and don 't forget to save room for the amazing desserts! And having paid a lot more for significantly less, the bill was also a treat!
