Working from home has its perks when you can nip out with your significant other for a quick lunch at Blue Poppy. I enjoyed my 'Smoked Trout' that was really smoked salmon but I was given advanced notice and my husband loved his 'Vegan Plate'. Coffee and food is consistent and of a high quality. What User doesn't like about The Blue Poppy:
I had lunch outside with my significant other during the week. It was very quiet compared to the weekends. I liked the flavor of the avocado on toast with dukkah and feta but the bread slices were too small compared to the generous serving of avo and I ran out of bread quickly. The chai tea was nice. It looked like there was a dog hair on my tea spoon which I wiped away. I would come again for a very casual outing. View all feedback.
Great coffee which arrived quickly. Ordered hash brown and haloumi instead of bacon and got bacon only. Asked if I could have the hash brown at least and was told it would take another 20 mins. Friends meal took ages to come out. Food was okay but the running of the food side of things felt a bit disorganised.
I literally never write reviews but stayed nearby for 5 days and this place is awesome. The team remembered my name and coffee order on day 2 and were so friendly and welcoming. And any cafe that is open at 6am and will happily serve you if the doors are open earlier are admired and appreciated by early risers like me. Love this place and will definitely be back when I’m next in the area. 11/10 guys and thank you
Upon arrival, customers were queued out the door and their take-away coffee business was doing a roaring trade. Spent some time pursuing the menu, before we scored a table inside which is air conditioned). Our party consisted of various food intolerances but the menu looked safe and strangely we independently settled on three Dirty Bennies and two Smashed Avocados between us. Surprised how quickly we were served, given the number of folk who were there.and the food was beyond our expectations. Next time I’d recommend a double shot for my iced coffee my only real complaint, as I like my coffee strong) The jalapeño was perfect with the bearnaise sauce on the potato waffle. Strongly recommended.
Nice little place, good food coffee. Unfortunately there’s one staff member that has had a lot of attitude when trying to simply order breakfast or coffee. Have returned for the quality meals not the service from the woman in watermelon shorts.
Really quick service, super friendly. Would've scored more except that they no longer have the dark bread
