Went for Peking Duck. Won't go anywhere else. Decor okay but not special. Noisy and hard to hear (I wear hearing aids). Booked an early dinner and service was great. Had 3 course Peking Duck which was divine. They played happy birthday while bringing out desert, with sparklers, as they heard it was my friends b'day. Not cheap Chinese food, but great value. What User doesn't like about Pine & Bamboo Peking Restaurant:
Bought food from this place as a take away last week. We usually go to this place as a family but this time decided to have take away. The food was not great like the usual it is. The sweet and sour pork was dry, the squid was too salty and honey chicken was dry too. View all feedback.

The szechuan chicken was very watery little flavour and little, chilli I was very disappointed with this meal I won't be returning.
Unexpectedly busy Chinese restaurant I happened to stop in at on the way home from work.Thursday night, quite hard to find a park which was probably a good sign.Polite but frenetically busy staff. The decor could have used a touch up since the 1980's but hey you're not going to look at the walls!Ordered a fried rice, Mongolian lamb and honey chicken.Pretty bog standard Chinese dishes you could compare with anywhere else. The rice was superb, the lamb unusually mild for a Mongolian but beautifully tasty and the honey chicken was good and light.Aside of the decor and parking, really good restaurant. Will definitely go there again in future.

My in laws have been coming to this resturant since 1974.It is known in Brisbane and in the local Chinese community as the best Peking duck resturant.I would never order lemon chicken but this dish is my mother-in-laws favourite. It is at this resturant; excellent. My Father-in-law generally orders Mongolian lamb. Terrific. When I first became a family member I caused a scandal with my order of Mermaid Tresses. To die for. We always order this now.Husband and I always are the wild card main dish orders. Although I have a tendency towards salt and pepper prawns and Husband to double fried beef. Every dish is superb and fresh. The resturant is also clean.Don't be put off by the location. The owner always says hello, but then Mum and Dad have been regulars for a while. I do sometimes wonder how an resturant as good as this isn't ranked higher on trip advisor.
