Nate's Bar & Bistro - Carindale

My business group regularly meets in this venue every fortnight. The venue was recommended by one of our members and they have really welcomed us and offered us great service, food and coffee. I look forward to every visit to this venue.

Stopped in here for a drink and snack mid week, mid afternoon. Has the feel of a soul-less coffee shop. Plenty of space, clean. Big dessert cabinet seemed out of place. I'd go to coffee club if I want that. No sign of the "bar" part to begin with and we had to ask fi they served alcohol. Then no cocktail menu available despite the friendly server offering to make us a cocktail. In the end we had lovely mojitos. The sliders we ordered were lovely. Absolutely delicious veggie burger. Yum. Great location looking out at the Stones Corner goings on, but empty. Weirdly it seemed to close early evening, which makes no sense for a venue trying to be a bar. Given the busy bar just two doors down, seems like lost potential. Would go there again, hoping for more action in the area.

Found the staff to be great and a nice location. The hours for opening were more like a cafe than a bar and bistro and the food was ok, but haven't been back.

Came here for a lunch time business function and ordered the pumpkin and fetta salad. I was told it was the last one available, so I did a little happy dance. However, when it arrived, it looked like they had scraped the very dregs from the bottom of the salad bowl. The salad serving size was smaller than my fist with only a couple of traces of orange colour of remnants of pumpkin and a couple of shavings of fetta. Certainly nowhere near $15 worth. As the business presentation was underway and I was hungry I didn't follow-up and ate the poorly portion. My friend was also disappointed with her steak and 5 chips. Looking at the other comments, maybe we were unlucky and just got them on a bad day. The staff however, were friendly and the location convenient.

We called in here on a hot day, basically to sit and cool down, however once inside, the spacious area, friendly staff and good looking food tempted us and we decided to have something to eat with our Latte's.My wife had a burger with salad, and I had the Pork and Apple pie with chips.We expected a snack, but we got a very filling meal each ! ( the chips were superb ! )The waitresses were there when needed but certainly not hovering like some do.We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the drinks and would defineatly return when we are in the area again.Positively recommended.Oh yes, one small but very important thing....the toilets and hand washing facilities are very good.
