The chef, Don, is culinarily trained in Japanese food, but his heritage is Malaysian, and with it comes cooking that can only be learned at your mother's knee.
The Malaysian side of the menu speaks with the heart, and is impeccably designed to give those that have moved from their motherland, just a moment to transport themselves to their childhood in that first mouthful.

What Alexa Schaden doesn't like about Jun Japanese and Malaysian Cuisine:
Low quality and definitely low quantity. We ordered a salmon dish and the salmon was cut so thinly. We also ordered a sambal fish, there was probably a maximum of 10 very small fillets of fish served on a plate of sauce with onions. Both of these dishes costed at least $20 each. Eating was above average, but probably not quite high price (for some of the dishes). their specificity is definitiw Malaysian, over japanese.

Gorgeous family run restaurant, with the kind of warmth and hospitality that's very difficult to come by these days. Food is always fresh, generous and delicious!
Cannot go wrong with authentic Malaysian cuisine. endless thumbs up.
