I’ve tried the vegan cheeseburger from here twice now. Was not impressed the first time but it had been a while since I tried it, so I thought I’d give it another go. Still no better the second time... My main criticism is that the burger was too dry, not nearly enough of their special “That BBQ Sauce”. The vegan burgers are also served on an oat bun, which doesn’t help with the dryness. Overall they only have two vegan burgers on the menu (and two vegetarian burgers), but the lack of creativity and commitment shows, and as such, this feels very much like a token vegan section rather than something they are excited and/or proud to make. Lastly, when I asked if any of the sauces were vegan, the staff member said they weren’t sure, but probably not. It’s nice that they at least have a couple of vegan options, but it’s not worth supporting a business that is still so heavily meat orientated, particularly when there seems to be so little care put into their vegan options. The Vegan Burger at Getta is the type of burger you expect from this place. It’s greasy, big and oh so delicious. It would be great for there to be more options but the staff are informed on options. Pretty good!
