We arrived here by chance. We were going to Mackay from Cairns but it was too late and we were little hungry and we decided to stop at the first opened place. Locals, who were expecting their commands, told us that this restaurant would be a great choice. They were right. We take 4 Barra Burguers. The best Barramundi burguers which I ate in Australia!
This roadside establishment was convenient but left a feeling of disappointment. The food was good, but an air of "disenchantment" was always there. It seemed that the customer was an inconvenience to the staff and I wouldn't consider going there again.

Okay, so me and 2 mates were heading south after a wicked good trip up to the cape. Bulk fishing and beers, ya know, all the good stuffAnyways, after a tiring day behind the wheel I pulled over to taste some delicious local seafood. How very wrong I was. I ordered a prawn sandwich and some Barra, about $20 something I think. Pretty pricey, but I was optimistic. After a 20 minute wait, the golem like creature that served me asked If I wanted to order. I advised her that I already had, and then I was greeted by a puzzled look and some muttering under her breath. 45 minutes past and I recieve my 'fresh seafood'. I opened my prawn sandwich to find some stale bread, with about 4 half cooked, half frozen, half decaying prawns smooshed inside. I picked up one prawn, took a tiny bite of the prawn and almost instantly vomitted. If I had to describe it in a word, it was 'life-threatening'. One of my mates opened his barra and chips, and found about 6 inches of batter, a few dried up pieces of perhaps fish, and a handful of chips that looked like they had drown themselves in a cold vat of oil to escape their overlords (golem) grasp. All food ended up in the bin, as we continued south in search of food that wasnt posionous. Wrapping up, there are starving children in africa whom would prefer to die a slow horrible death from lack of nutrients, rather than eat the food from this establishment. Avoid at all costs! P.S - I seriously question why the health advisor has not audited this shop. Its in a dire state...
