Rooms are so clean, ample parking space, beautiful restaurant with a bar. Mr.John was such a hospitable humble person i’ve ever met in my life, we had a long chat in the bar while enjoying my fresh fish chips the fish was so fresh food was so great, also I should definitely mention the guy who worked in the bottlemart was such a nice person I’ve introduced them both to a Gin ginger ale I’m sure they both love it.. thanks again for the wonderful hospitality
This motel was very comfortable and had everything I needed. It was a great place to stay with my dogs. You could walk across the road to the IGA and the area was close to the sea which meant there were some lovely places to go for a walk. The person who checked me in was super friendly and chipper which is always nice after a long drive.
Great place to stay in Cardwell. We had a family room, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly. The pool looks amazing and spotless, just a bit chilly to use on our trip.
Stopped for the night following 14 hours on the road. David was friendly and personable on the phone and accomodating of our late arrival at 8:45pm (advertised as 24 hour check in). Our group had three family rooms booked and not one of our group was able to shower properly as there was no hot water in the middle of winter. Following freezing showers we found that the air conditioning was cooling only so unable to warm up young kids. We woke early 6am to attempt to shower and once again there was hot water only available for two adults out of three family rooms. We left early and I phoned David later in the morning to provide verbal feedback. He thanked me for letting him know and said that there must be something faulty with the hot water system. There is only one system for the whole block of rooms, which we don’t believe would be adequate even if it wasn’t ‘faulty’. No financial compensation offered as David reported that there would have been nothing he could have done in the evening anyway, even though 12 guests were unable to shower after paying full price. David offered that if we were ever in the area again he would be happy to chat about ‘compensation’. We won’t be back. Absolutely awful experience and very poor attempt to make right by management. You cannot charge for a room and amenities if they are not working. Even if management were ‘unaware’ at the time, once made aware good customer service dictates that restitution should be made.
